Replaying Silence is an experimental flamenco music and dance project that arises from the repeated dialogue of acoustic instruments, dancer and electronic equipment. The piece combines organic polyrhythms of flamenco with electronic loops and sequencer programs. Flamenco guitar, percussions and flamenco dance create the basis for the quest of independent expression and breaking free from repetitive forms of everyday life. Replaying Silence explores the practical conditions for the birth and growth of an individual and a community as well as the discovery of a true voice under the pressure of cultural paradigms.
